Get Baraka APP
A Startup Financial Trading Application.
The Get Baraka App is a mobile platform aimed at educating and helping middle eastern investors invest in stocks, mutual funds, and other investment options, through an intuitive mobile design & seamless user experience.
My journey with Baraka started back in 2019 when I was approached by the 2 co-founders. Armed with a development team based in Dubai they were building an MVP for a fantastic new financial trading app whose USP was taking their customers on a journey by educating them to be able to make informed decisions.
As a start-up, the product was shown to me as loose wireframes and a work-in-progress development app.

PRODUCT MISSION STATEMENT
The “system” wasn’t designed with us in mind. financial markets are not accessible and we are shut out from the opportunities that make us infinitely wealthier, yet we are the majority and we drive consumption that drives the financial markets. we live in a world that thrives on the consumption of material goods that add no inherent value to our way of life, yet we buy, but we don’t benefit. we work to consume and we live to get by constantly seeking a better financial future.
Defining The Audience for Effective User-Centered Design.
Who will use the app? This could include beginner investors, day traders, institutional investors, or casual traders.
Understanding their pain points, behaviors, and goals is essential for crafting a message and product that resonates with them.
Brand Development.
involved a strategic approach that established trust, resonated with the target audience, and differentiated the app in a competitive market. A strong brand identity to not only attracts users but also fosters loyalty, ensuring long-term engagement and success.
Wireframing.
Although the app was already in development I wanted to produce a set of wireframes to map out the structure, functionality, and user experience. It was a good opportunity to do a UX audit to ensure that the app was intuitive, easy to navigate, and met our user needs.
Hi-Fidelity Designs.
I created a full set of High-fidelity designs. The app had 100+ polished, detailed mockups that were ready for development handover.
The designs showcased not only the structure and layout but also the specific visual elements, interactions, and branding.
